A bit of an old article, but I came across it while looking for something to send to a friend who is 'teaching' her 10 day old baby to self settle by CIO

I attending a Brainwave seminar last year. Was really worth going to - learning the 'science-y' stuff behind AP principles really made me feel we were doing the right thing
